🌱 Growing Through GEM: A New Chapter in My Girl Scout Journey

About a month ago, I made the exciting decision to apply for GEM ✨. For those who don’t know, GEM is a program in Girl Scouts that gives members the opportunity to represent Girl Scouts at special events, develop important skills like public speaking, interviewing, and media literacy, and even create content for GSGLA marketing campaigns.

When I first heard about GEM, I knew I wanted to be part of it 💚. I was so excited to submit my application, and recently I got the amazing news that I made it through the first stage of the selection process 🎊! The next step was the interview.

I’ll admit—I was nervous. I wanted to make a good impression, but deep down I reminded myself that I was prepared and ready to share my passion for Girl Scouts 🌟. During the interview, I was in a room with three other Girl Scouts, and together we discussed a variety of topics. It felt less like an intimidating interview and more like a meaningful conversation 💬.

Looking back, the experience was not only fun but also inspiring 💡. No matter the outcome, I’m proud that I took this step and pushed myself to grow 🌱. Being part of the GEM process has already taught me so much, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me 🚀!
