My Girl Scout Adventure in Savannah: Where It All Began
My Trip to Savannah, Georgia
Going to Savannah, Georgia was an unforgettable trip. Spending time with my troop and learning more about how the Girl Scouts first started made the experience truly meaningful.

When we arrived in Savannah, we were filled with excitement, knowing we were about to explore the place where it all began. Walking through the historic streets, we visited important landmarks like Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace and the first Girl Scout Headquarters.

Being in the same place where Girl Scouts was founded made everything feel special and inspiring. It deepened my appreciation and connection not only to Juliette Gordon Low but also to Girl Scouts around the world.

While we visited many amazing places in Savannah, some of my favorites were the Girl Scout Headquarters, the Eternal Flame, and Juliette Gordon Low's Birthplace.

Our time at the Girl Scout Headquarters was especially memorable because we got to take part in the Eternal Flame ceremony. We had the incredible opportunity to light a candle directly from the Eternal Flame—just like Juliette Gordon Low did with her first troop.

It made me feel deeply connected to her and the history of Girl Scouts. Knowing she started this tradition, and that I get to bring that same flame back to California to share with my Girl Scout sisters, made the experience even more meaningful.
